THE DEFINITION SERIES

Called out. Set apart.

EKKLESIA is the Greek word commonly translated as “church.”

In Scripture, it does not describe a building or institution. It describes a people, those called out by God to belong to Him and live for His purpose.

This piece serves as a reminder that the Church is not defined by walls, but by believers who carry faith into every part of life. Wherever followers of Christ gather, serve, worship, and witness, the Ekklesia is present.
